Insider's View of Alaska
Libby Riddles comes aboard in Juneau to share her adventures as the first woman to win the grueling 1,100-mile Iditarod sled dog race. In Skagway, you'll enjoy the entertainment of an Alaskan storyteller. And in Ketchikan, a U.S. Forest Service naturalist will present a program about the largest forest in the country, Tongass National Forest.
Rangers and Naturalists
Alaska's intriguing flora, fauna and geology come to life by the full-time onboard naturalists who sails with you the entire length of the cruise. While in Glacier Bay National Park, rangers from the National Park Service will board the cruise ship to serve as tour guides and answer questions about this national treasure. Rangers also lead our Junior Ranger and Teen Explorer programs in Glacier Bay, which teach kids about the wildlife and scenery in a fun and entertaining way.
Alaska Signature Specialties
Our Signature Alaskan Cuisine showcases local specialties like fresh Alaskan Seafood. We also treat you to a Taste of Alaska Buffet, a festive on-deck Fish Barbeque and a Reindeer Chili and Rockfish Chowder Cook-Off. Ultimate Ship TourSM
A Behind-the-Scenes Adventure
Princess passengers can get an exclusive glimpse at the behind-the-scenes action onboard a Princess ship with the Ultimate Ship Tour — a cruise industry first. The tour is offered once or twice per cruise on a sea day, and allows guests to explore the engine control room, medical center, print shop, laundry, photo lab, bridge, and other areas typically seen only by the ship’s crew. The final stop of the tour is the ship’s command center, where passengers will meet the Captain, enjoy special refreshments and take in the dramatic views from the bridge’s wraparound windows. Participants will also receive a variety of themed mementos at many other stops along the route. Available on all ships except for Royal Princess, Sea Princess and Tahitian Princess.

Library
We've stocked our ships with an extensive library, including contemporary titles in a wide range of categories and books related to specific cruise itineraries. Princess onboard libraries have collections of up to 2,000 books.
Sports
Princess offers a variety of sporting activities for you to enjoy. Test your golf skills in our golf simulator or nine-hole putting green. In addition, Princess' unique New Waves program offers full P.A.D.I. open water scuba certification and snorkeling instruction. Most ships also offer ping pong, shuffleboard, a jogging track and a sports court for basketball and volleyball.
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary offers a relaxing alternative to the myriad outdoor activities and entertainment available elsewhere throughout the ship. Solitude seekers will be able to escape completely to this plush, outdoor spa-inspired setting with signature beverages, light meals, massages, attentive service and relaxing personal entertainment.
