What's New:
Universe Lounge -- Split over two decks, this state-of-the-art lounge was designed to facilitate a diverse slate of entertainment options from Princess production shows to movie screenings. The lounge will also be home to Princess' new ScholarShip @ Sea program of enrichment classes. Featuring the latest in lighting technology, digital surround sound and video systems, the venue can accommodate up to three revolving stages with integrated lifts and giant projection screens. Flexible seating and staging options allow for full-blown Vegas-style reviews for an audience of more than 400, or intimate classroom-style demonstrations for a group of 50 or less. High-tech capabilities include three giant screens with high-definition projection, full television production capabilities, a working demonstration kitchen set, and network plug-ins for up to 50 laptop computers. An infrared headset system is available to assist the hearing impaired.
ScholarShip @ Sea Program -- Ceramics, web design, and the fundamentals of Italian cooking are just a few of the topics offered by Princess' onboard experts in this innovative new program. Visual, creative and culinary arts, computer skills and health and finance-related issues form the core of a unique curriculum designed to enhance the cruise experience of Princess passengers. Each cruise will feature a slate of up to 20 courses, with six options offered each sea day.
Bayou Cafe and Steakhouse-- Passengers can enjoy traditional Cajun- and Creole-influenced food and live jazz in the first New Orleans-themed restaurant at sea. With a look and feel straight out of the French Quarter, diners will delight in such delicacies as peel-and-eat shrimp, alligator ribs, gumbos and jambalaya, plus a selection of premium steaks. Cover charge is $15.
Balconies -- With 753, Coral Princess offers the most staterooms with balconies of any ship in the Princess fleet. Approximately 85 percent of the ship's cabins are outside, and 85 percent of these feature Princess' trademark balconies.
Crooners -- In a Princess first, passengers can relive the feeling of the 1950s and '60s in this retro martini bar featuring music and dicor in the spirit of the "Rat Pack" crooners era.
Churchill's -- Another new Princess feature, this classic lounge evokes the ambiance of an English gentleman's club, offering a cozy space for enjoying spirits and cigars. Aficionados will appreciate the custom humidor and call-button bar service from Crooners bar next door.
Gas turbine engines -- Coral Princess' unique gas turbine/diesel enviro-engine combination has proven to be both highly efficient and environmentally sound, creating lower exhaust emissions and minimal oil waste. The new gas turbines are installed in the funnel, freeing additional space for the ship's wide range of public rooms and onboard facilities. In addition, the engine design results in significantly lower levels of noise and vibration, enhancing the comfort of all guests.
Personal Choice Features:
Personal Choice Dining -- Only Princess offers this innovative approach to dining, enabling guests to dine how, when and with whom they want. Passengers may choose either a restaurant-style option that allows them the same flexibility found in shoreside establishments, or the traditional cruise dinning experience with an assigned dining time, tablemates and wait staff. Two main dining rooms, a 24-hour buffet, 24-hour room service and two alternative eateries -- Sabatini's Trattoria, and the New Orleans-style Bayou Cafi provide passengers with a multitude of options.
Lotus Spa -- Passengers can pamper themselves at Coral Princess' state-of-the-art spa, featuring Balinese-influenced decor and treatments based on ancient Asian therapies and rituals. The center's expanded lineup of massages, body wraps, facials, and other relaxing services provide passengers with the opportunity to refresh body, mind and spirit during their cruise. The retreat's impressive fitness offerings include a swim-against-the-current pool, full gym and an expanded selection of classes from yoga and Pilates, to aerobics and pulse cycling.
Sabatini's Trattoria -- Imagine having a favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant with attentive waiters who present your first course the moment you sit down -- and follow that with a tantalizing parade of dishes, one right after another. This is the dining experience at Sabatini's, a favorite alternative restaurant with Princess passengers, specializing in high-quality seafood dishes. Cover charge ($15) includes gratuity.
Wedding Chapel -- Unique in the cruise industry, Princess' wedding-at-sea program is the only one, which allows couples to be married in international waters by the ship's captain. The bride and groom may choose from several different wedding and reception packages that include flowers, music, a photo package, champagne, cake and other extras. Passengers can share their happy day with loved ones at home through Princess' unique "Wed Cam" on the company's website, princess.com.

At-A-Glance
The 116,000-ton, 2,670-passenger Diamond
Princess launches a new ship design for
Princess, incorporating Princess'
trademark design philosophy -- including
an abundance of balcony cabins,
flexibility in dining and entertainment
options, Princess' renowned service and
a variety of intimate spaces -- and
giving the ship all of the choice of a
large ship with the feel of a much
smaller vessel.
What's New
Personal Choice Dining -- Only Princess offers this innovative approach to dining, enabling guests to dine how, when and with whom they want. Passengers may choose either the restaurant-style Anytime Dining option that allows them the same flexibility found in shoreside establishments, or the Traditional Seating experience with an assigned dining time, tablemates and wait staff. Sapphire Princess offers five main dining rooms -- one larger room dedicated to traditional seating, plus four more intimate Anytime Dining rooms (which can also accommodate traditional seating when needed.) The ship also offers a 24-hour buffet, 24-hour room service, a variety of poolside snacks, and two alternative dining options -- Sabatini's Trattoria and the premium Sterling Steakhouse.
Club Fusion -- The latest in seagoing high-tech entertainment venues, the multi-function Club Fusion serves as a dance club, theater and gaming room. With 42 high-definition video screens mounted on columns around the room, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and table-top slot machines, this space offers passengers a variety of ways to enjoy their leisure time at sea. A dramatic spiral staircase leads to the intimate Wake View Bar below, the perfect gathering place for pre-dinner cocktails for passengers eating in the International Dining Room.
Princess Concierge Service -- Passengers can make reservations for any of the ship's dining rooms and Sabatini's through the new Princess Concierge Service, which debuts on Diamond Princess. Staffed by dedicated onboard concierge representatives using a new computerized reservation system, this new level of service will enable passengers to easily plan their dining choices through a special telephone number or in person at each dining venue.
Princess' Largest Internet Cafe -- Featuring 29 computer stations, Diamond Princess' Internet Cafe will become the largest such facility in the Princess fleet, and one of the largest at sea. The cafe not only offers passengers more space for surfing the web or sending email back home, but also serves up coffee and pastries for those who work up an appetite while on line. In addition, the ship's atrium will offer wireless Internet access for passengers who bring their own laptops.
New Shows Debut - Two new production shows will debut on Diamond Princess. Continuing the line's longstanding tradition of developing elaborate original productions which offer some of the most unique entertainment options at sea, the two new shows, "Piano Man" and "Undercover" make full use of the ship's technically advanced Princess Theater. The energetic new offerings represent diverse musical choices, treating passengers to, respectively, the melodic sounds of keyboard luminaries or the excitement of the shadowy world of spies through secret agents movies and television shows.
Environmental Systems -- Diamond Princess will operate with diesel and gas turbine propulsion, allowing for efficient and environmentally sound operation. The gas turbines are located in an unusual place -- the ship's funnel -- which opens up extra space on lower ship decks. A further key feature will be the incorporation of the latest environmental concepts. These will include low emission power generation systems and the latest low emission waste treatment technology.
Skywalkers Lounge -- Diamond Princess will take Princess' trademark Skywalkers disco/lounge concept a step further with a 35 percent larger room plus new 125-foot wide balcony that provides commanding views over the aft end of the ship where passengers can enjoy stargazing, or an al fresco break from the action inside.
Personal Choice Features:
Lotus Spa -- Passengers can pamper themselves at the ship's state-of-the-art spa, featuring Asian-influenced decor and treatments based on ancient therapies and rituals. The center's lineup of massages, body wraps, facials, and other relaxing services provide passengers with the opportunity to refresh body, mind and spirit during their cruise. Fitness offerings include a swim-against-the-current pool, full gym and a selection of classes from yoga and Pilates to aerobics and pulse cycling.
Sabatini's Trattoria -- Imagine having a favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant with attentive waiters who present your first course the moment you sit down -- and follow that with a tantalizing parade of dishes, one right after another, with an emphasis on fine seafood. This is the dining experience at Sabatini's, a favorite alternative restaurant with Princess passengers, available for a nominal $20 per passenger charge.
Wedding Chapel - Unique in the cruise industry, Princess' wedding-at-sea program is the only one that allows couples to be married in international waters by the ship's captain. The bride and groom may choose from several different wedding and reception packages, and can share their happy day with loved ones at home through Princess' unique live "Wed Cam" on www.princess.com.
Balconies -- More than 70 percent of the ship's cabins will be outside and more than 75 of these will feature the luxury of a private balcony. Princess pioneered the concept of affordable balcony cabins and will continue to offer more standard rooms with balconies than any other cruise line

vessel designed for transiting the locks

single Promenade Deck.
Bayou Cafi -- Passengers can enjoy traditional Cajun- and Creole-influenced food and live jazz in the first New Orleans-themed restaurant at sea. With a look and feel straight out of the French Quarter, diners will delight in such delicacies as peel-and-eat shrimp, alligator ribs, gumbos and jambalaya, not to mention the obligatory bevy of exotic cocktails. Cover charge ($8) includes complimentary hurricane cocktail.
Balconies -- With 753, Island Princess offers the most staterooms with balconies of any ship in the Princess fleet. Approximately 85 percent of the ship's cabins are outside, and 85 percent of these feature Princess' trademark balconies.
Crooners -- In a Princess first, passengers can relive the feeling of the 1950s and 60s in this retro martini bar featuring music and dicor in the spirit of the "Rat Pack" crooners era.
Churchill's -- Another new Princess feature, this classic lounge evokes the ambiance of an English gentleman's club, offering a cozy space for enjoying spirits and cigars. Aficionados will appreciate the custom humidor and call-button bar service from Crooners bar next door.
Gas turbine engines -- Island Princess' unique gas turbine/diesel enviro-engine combination has proven to be both highly efficient and environmentally sound, creating lower exhaust emissions and minimal oil waste.
Lotus Spa -- Passengers can pamper themselves at Island Princess' state-of-the-art spa, featuring Balinese-influenced decor and treatments based on ancient Asian therapies and rituals.

The 116,000-ton, 2,670-passenger
Sapphire Princess, one of Princess' most
amenity-filled vessels, incorporates the
line's trademark design philosophy --
including an abundance of balcony
cabins, flexibility in dining and
entertainment options, Princess'
renowned service and a variety of
intimate spaces -- and giving the ship
all of the choice of a large ship with
the feel of a much smaller vessel. The
ship's unique Personal Choice features
include:
? Club Fusion -- The latest in seagoing high-tech entertainment venues, the multi-function Club Fusion serves as a dance club, theater and gaming room. With 42 high-definition video screens mounted on columns around the room, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and table-top slot machines, this space offers passengers a variety of ways to enjoy their leisure time at sea. A dramatic spiral staircase leads to the intimate Wake View Bar below, the perfect gathering place for pre-dinner cocktails for passengers eating in the International Dining Room.
? Ultimate Balcony Dinner/Breakfast -- Passengers can also take advantage of warm climates and breathtaking views with a special meal delivered right to their own private balcony. The Ultimate Balcony Dinner features a full evening featuring a hosted cocktail party, fresh flowers, champagne and a deluxe four-course meal featuring delicate sweet lobster tail for $50 per person. For those who want start the day with a romantic meal, the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast includes specialty pastries, fresh fruits, quiche, smoked salmon and other special treats served with a half bottle of French champagne, all for $25 per couple.
? Princess Concierge Service -- Passengers can make reservations for any of the ship's dining rooms and Sabatini's through Princess Concierge Service. Staffed by dedicated onboard concierge representatives using a computerized reservation system, this extended level of service will enable passengers to easily plan their dining choices through a special telephone number or in person at each dining venue.
? Princess' Largest Internet Caf? -- Featuring 29 computer stations, Sapphire Princess' Internet Caf? is the largest such facility in the Princess fleet, and one of the largest at sea. The caf? not only offers passengers more space for surfing the web or sending email back home, but also serves up coffee and pastries for those who work up an appetite while on line. In addition, the ship's atrium will offer wireless Internet access for passengers who bring their own laptops.
? Gas Turbine Propulsion -- Sapphire Princess operates with diesel and gas turbine propulsion, allowing for efficient and environmentally sound operation. The gas turbines are located in an unusual place -- the ship's funnel -- which opens up extra space on lower ship decks.
? Skywalkers Lounge -- Sapphire Princess takes Princess' trademark Skywalkers disco/lounge concept a step further with a 35 percent larger room plus new 125-foot wide balcony that provides commanding views over the aft end of the ship where passengers can enjoy stargazing, or an al fresco break from the action inside.
? Lotus Spa -- Passengers can pamper themselves at the ship's state-of-the-art spa, featuring Asian-influenced decor and treatments based on ancient therapies and rituals. The center's lineup of massages, body wraps, facials, and other relaxing services provide passengers with the opportunity to refresh body, mind and spirit during their cruise. Fitness offerings include a swim-against-the-current pool, full gym and a selection of classes from yoga and Pilates to aerobics and pulse cycling.
? Sabatini's Trattoria -- Imagine having a favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant with attentive waiters who present your first course the moment you sit down -- and follow that with a tantalizing parade of dishes, one right after another, with an emphasis on fine seafood. This is the dining experience at Sabatini's, a favorite alternative restaurant with Princess passengers, available for a nominal $20 per passenger charge.
? Wedding Chapel -- Unique in the North American cruise industry, Princess' wedding-at-sea program is the only one that allows couples to be married in international waters by the ship's captain. The bride and groom may choose from several different wedding and reception packages, and can share their happy day with loved ones at home through Princess' unique live "Wed Cam" on www.princess.com.
? Balconies -- More than 70 percent of the ship's cabins are outside and more than 75 of these feature the luxury of a private balcony. Princess pioneered the concept of affordable balcony cabins and will continue to offer more standard rooms with balconies than any other cruise line.

Star Princess at a
Glance
Star Princess follows in the wake of her
sister ships, Grand Princess and Golden
Princess, as one of the most innovative
cruise ships sailing today, and will be
the only ship of its kind to sail on the
West Coast. The new vessel epitomizes
Princess' unique Personal Choice
Cruising program, an unstructured,
customized approach to cruise travel.
Star Princess passengers will have a
wide range of entertainment, dining and
activity options, enabling individuals
to do "what you want, when you want."
Here are just some of the features that
set Star Princess apart:
Personal Choice Dining -- Only Princess offers this innovative approach to dining, enabling guests to dine how, when and with whom they want. In the main dining rooms, passengers may choose either the restaurant-style Anytime Dining option that allows them the same flexibility found in shoreside establishments, or the Traditional Fixed Seating experience with an assigned dining time, tablemates and wait staff. Among the ship's many other Personal Choice Dining options are a 24-hour restaurant and two acclaimed alternative eateries -- Sabatini's for an authentic trattoria experience featuring favorite Italian fare and high-quality seafood, and Tequila's, for those who prefer a Southwestern flair to their meal.
Princess Kids -- Junior passengers will enjoy their expanded area at the aft of the ship. "The Fun Zone" for children and "Off Limits" for teens offer indoor and outdoor play areas and come fully equipped with a wide variety of games and diversions for all ages. Professional youth counselors organize a complete schedule of activities to keep Princess Pelicans (ages 3-7), Princess Pirateers (ages 8-12) and Off Limits teens (ages 13-17) busy throughout the cruise. Star Princess offers special presentations and hands-on activities for kids hosted by educators from the California Science Center, and features materials from the National Wildlife Federation.
Wedding Cam -- Star Princess will bring Princess' unique wedding-at-sea program to the West Coast for the first time. Passengers will not only be able to take advantage of this Princess exclusive that allows couples to be married at sea by the ship's captain, but they can also share the experience with friends and family back home with the line's unique Wedding Cam. As a result, "virtual" guests will be able to join the happy couple as the ship's captain conducts the ceremony by watching the proceedings on their computer at home. The live image will update every 60 seconds on Princess' website, www.princess.com.
Lotus Spa -- Passengers can pamper themselves at Princess' largest state-of-the-art spa, featuring an environment and treatments based on ancient Asian therapies and rituals. The center's expanded lineup of massages, body wraps, facials, and other relaxing services provide passengers with the opportunity to revitalize during their cruise. Fitness offerings include a swim-against-the-current pool, exercise facilities and an expanded selection of classes.
AOL Internet Cafi -- Star Princess features its own 24-hour AOL Internet Cafi, one of the largest at sea. The facility features 25 state-of-the-art computer stations with access to a number of AOL Internet products, along with other business and on-line features. Passengers will be able to surf the web, send and receive email, and even share their vacation experience with friends and family by creating their own "My Princess Cruise" home page with the personalized Princess templates available in AOL's Hometown community. The Cafi also features full business capabilities, including printers, a fax machine, and photocopiers.
Telemedicine -- Star Princess continues the line's pioneering role in the development of cruise ship telemedicine. The vessel features a fully integrated digital system -- combining video and data -- that enables shipboard physicians to consult in real time with shoreside specialists in emergency situations. The system is also environmentally friendly, as x-rays are digitally produced and transmitted, without the use of chemical developers.
Three Show Lounges -- Unusual in the cruise industry, Star Princess features three main show lounges -- the Princess Theater, Vista Lounge and Explorers Lounge -- which present an ever-changing array of entertainment choices, including Broadway-, Las Vegas- and cabaret-style productions. The ship features two new high-energy shows -- "'Da Beat" and "Dance!" -- from Princess' acclaimed producers.
Princess Links -- This nine-hole putting course enables golfers of all abilities to practice sinking their putts. Golf simulators are located on the deck above for players who want to test their skills against some of the world's famous courses.
Skywalker's -- Night owls can dance the night away at the ship's trademark "Skywalker's Nightclub," a lounge set high atop the rear of the vessel and accessible only by a glass-enclosed, moving "skywalk." By day, this dramatic space becomes an observation lounge with one of the best views on the ship.
Balconies -- More than 700 cabins feature this ultimate Princess trademark, a passenger favorite. A private veranda on Star Princess is perfect for enjoying the scenery of the Mexican Riviera, having an al fresco meal or watching Alaska's stunning glaciers go by.
