Four ships will be home-ported in Seattle in 2010, sailing a total of 63 seven-day Alaskan Explorer cruises roundtrip. The Amsterdam opens the season with two seven-day Alaskan Explorer cruises departing May 3 and 10 before shifting to the new 14-day itinerary.

From May 9 through September 24, the 1,432-guest ms Zaandam departs Fridays, 1,316-guest ms Rotterdam departs Saturdays and the 1,918-guest, Vista-class ms Oosterdam departs Sundays. The ms Zaandam and ms Rotterdam highlight the Hubbard Glacier and the ms Oosterdam showcases Glacier Bay. All Alaskan Explorer cruises call at the historic ports of Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan, plus Victoria, BC, and feature scenic cruising of the Inside Passage and Vancouver Island.

Princess Cruises

Inside Passage from Seattle - Golden Princess and Sapphire Princess offer convenient seven-day roundtrip itineraries from Seattle with calls at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria, B.C. In addition, passengers will enjoy dramatic glacier viewing in Tracy Arm or Glacier Bay National Park. The two ships will sail on 37 departures. Royal Princess will do a series of 14 Night Alaska Connoisseur cruises.

Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Spirit will once again spend the summer months in Alaska in 2010, but will sport a brand-new seven-night roundtrip Seattle itinerary. The ship will depart on Tuesdays and call in Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria. The itinerary also includes scenic cruising in Tracy Arm. The current seven-night itinerary is similar, but features Sitka instead of Victoria, and offers scenic tours of College Fjord Carnival's Alaska season will run from May 11 through August 31, 2010. The line will also offer a six-night Inside Passage cruise from Vancouver to Seattle on May 5, 2010, at the beginning of the season, and a seven-night Glacier Bay cruise from Seattle to Vancouver on September 7, 2010, at the end.

The Rhapsody of the Seas will offer a seven-night roundtrip itinerary from Seattle and ply the Inside Passage with calls at Juneau and Skagway, as well as at Victoria, B.C. Highlights will include a cruise through the 32-mile Tracy Arm Fjord and visits to Sawyer Glacier.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Infinity will offer 18 consecutive seven-night “Alaska Tracy Arm Fjord” cruises departing on Fridays and sailing roundtrip from Seattle, Washington. New to Celebrity’s offerings in Alaska, these seven-night voyages are named for the 32-mile-long passage the ship will make through the narrow Tracy Arm Fjord, known for its over-8,000-feet-high walls and breathtaking scenery. At the end of the fjord is Sawyer Glacier, the face of which is a magnificent 200 feet high. Celebrity Infinity seven-night itinerary also will include visits to Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, Alaska and Victoria, British Columbia as well as a cruise through the Alaska Inside Passage. Celebrity Infinity seven-night Alaska season begins on May 21 and concludes after the cruise departing on September 17.
