Hi,
I'm Wooly-D Mammoth and dedicated to finding the
lowest prices possible for you -- I've never met
an Alaska cruise deal I didn't love. |
The Legend of
Wooly-D Mammoth
"Until recently
it was generally assumed that the last
woolly mammoths vanished from Europe and
Southern Siberia about 10.000 BC, but new
findings show that some were still present
here about 8.000 BC. Only slightly later the
wooly mammoths also disappeared from
continental Northern Siberia. Historians and
Archeologists' say Woolly mammoths
disappeared from the North American
continent at the end of the ice age. A small
population of woolly mammoths survived on
St. Paul Island, Alaska, up until 6000 BC,
while another remained on Wrangel Island, up
until 1700 BC.
There have been
occasional claims that the woolly mammoth is
not actually extinct, and that small
isolated herds might survive in the vast and
sparsely inhabited tundra of the northern
hemisphere. In the late nineteenth century,
there were, according to Bengt Sjögren
(1962), persistent rumors about surviving
mammoths hiding in Alaska. In October 1899,
a story about a man named Henry Tukeman
detailed his having killed a mammoth in
Alaska.
So, we set out
to find the last surviving Woolly Mammoth,
and to our surprise we found Wooly-D spread
across 3 deck chairs aboard the Sapphire
Princess sailing the Inside Passage. When
asked what he was doing there? He replied.
' I'm is search of the best cruise deals
around. What's else is there to do!"

paragraph of course )

Money-Saving Tips
Form a Group. Save and sail to Alaska!
Did you know the
most overlooked way to stretch your dollar is to form your own
Alaska cruise group. Traveling with family or friends, can
lower costs enough so you can travel even when the economies not
that good. Of course, most of us don't have the time - or
inclination - to make the calls and do the research for an
entire group.
It's
a big job. However booking a group
cruise is easy for a professional travel agent. Your agent can
create a package that works for you, while your group will
realize across-the-board savings from group discounts that your
agent discovers.
