Our trip was excellent. The room, with
the upgrades, was amazing! We saw many
eagles (bald and golden), one bear, many
whales, including one breach, seals, one
bear, one wolf, moose and carribou, and
many smaller animals.. If we travelled
during salmon run, we probably would
have seen more bear and eagles. The
scenery is to die for, the vistas
spectacular. The ship was great;
service, food, etc were all great.

saw whale,

spawning,

zip line and

the stewards

animal out
of towels,

of the trip

is located 240 miles north of Anchorage, and

roam a wide area of land untouched by man. Denali

world of sub-arctic wilderness. Species of mosses,
lichens, fungi, algae, and others spangle the slopes
and valleys of Denali. Deep pools of frost collect
just beneath the park's surfaces, and only the

stimulate new life. But the fragile nature of the
region leads to continuous rebirth. New rivers can
spurt up in days and flowers bloom just in time to
serve as supper for hungry wildlife.
What's the best time of year to see Mt. McKinley and
visit Denali National Park?
Since in 1923 the Tundra Wilderness Tour takes
travelers on a 7-8 hour excursion into the park with
a certified driver-naturalist. The buses are newer
but the scenery is virtually unchanged.
The Tundra Wilderness Tour travels through Denali's
best wildlife-viewing habitat to capture stunning Mt. McKinley views from Stony
Hill, deep in the park.
